What Kind of Fishing Lure will you Need on your Next Fishing Trip

In terms of sport fishing, a lure is an object attached to the end of the fishing line and is made to resemble and move like an item that fish would prey on. Lures are equipped with one or more single or treble hooks that are used to hook fish when they attack the lure. Motion is imparted to lures by winding line back on to a reel, by sweeping, jigging movements with a fishing rod, or by being pulled behind a moving boat, which is known as trolling. One exception is fly lures, commonly called "flies" by fishermen, which either float on the water surface, slowly sink or float underwater, and are based on the behavior of the insect being resembled.

Lures are usually used on a fishing rod and reel outfit. When a lure is used for casting, it is continually cast out and sometimes retrieved, the retrieval making the lure swim. A skilled fisherman can explore many possible hiding places for fish through lure casting.

All fishing enthusiasts know that the fishing lures are the tried and true important part of fishing. Of course there are certain lures are for catching certain fish. So, how does the fisherman go about finding the right sort of tackle for they’re fishing experience? What worked last year will not necessarily work this year. And then again it depends on what kind of fish you are fishing for. You need bass lures for bass fishing and salt-water fishing needs another kind of fishing lure. Then there are salmon lures for salmon fishing.

There are many types of fish lures. A jig is a type of fishing lure, it usually consists of a lead sinker with a hook molded into it. There is then some sort of body on the shank of the hook. The jig is very versatile and can be used in both salt water as well as fresh water. Many species are attracted to the lure, which has made it popular among many anglers for years. Considered the simplest of all other lures, the spoons. They got their name because they look like the head of a spoon. They act like the baitfish by doing a flickering and wobbling movement or action. Spoons are excellent for starters in lure fishing; easy to use and very affordable. These two are just a start for fishing lures you might be looking for considering what type of waters you are fishing in and what type of fish you are looking to catch.
